Research corrections
A wrong population or an overstated outcome deserves a precise correction.
Correction details
A correction is most useful with the page address, the sentence in question and the publication that supports a different account. An author’s name or article title helps when the disagreement concerns which study a statement describes. Please leave personal health details out of any correspondence.
I care especially about errors that change the subject of a finding: an animal result described as human, a tolerability result turned into an efficacy claim, or an identification test treated as an endorsement. A correction of that kind changes what the evidence can bear.
